Gaming at Grosvenor Casino Sunderland
Gala Sunderland was the name of the establishment before the Rank Group purchased it in 2013. Now, it is known as Grosvenor Casino Sunderland. In addition to a decent selection of slot machines from manufacturers like IGT and Novomatic, there are 14 live tables available for you to play inside.
They have plenty of space to move around as their four American roulette tables, five blackjack tables, and two three-card poker tables are arranged in pairs down the long, slender gaming floor. Additionally, you have the choice of spinning the Big Six Wheel or rolling the dice at their craps table.
Although it is always a good idea to check with the casino directly to confirm table limits, at the time of our stay, bets on American Roulette and Blackjack could each be up to £400 and $2,000, respectively. Three Card Poker had a maximum ante of £400.
They have all of the most well-known slot machines, including Cleopatra, Pharaoh’s Fortune, and Lobstermania, which offer payouts of up to £4,000. Additionally, you can play for large progressive jackpots worth up to £10,000 on a variety of Super V+ Gaminator devices there.
The numerous terminals that fill the right side of the casino allow fans of electronic roulette to play live games for as little as 10p per turn.
Poker Room
If playing poker is more your style, you’ll be happy to learn that Grosvenor Sunderland hosts a number of tournaments, such as Bounty Hunter, Win The Button, and Deepstack, five evenings a week. As always, early registrants will receive 10% more beginning chips if they sign up before the 7:30 pm start time.
All day long, cash games of £1/£1, £0.50/£0.50, £1/£2 No Limit Hold’em, and £1/£2 Omaha are played. Check out the Grosvenor Sunderland Facebook page or get the Poker Live App for the most recent details.
Grosvenor Casino Sunderland Events & Entertainment
The cinema meal deal is one of Grosvenor Casino Sunderland’s most well-liked promotions. For just £12, you can get a complimentary alcoholic beverage, a meal at the bar, and an adult movie ticket good at the nearby Empire Cinema Sunderland.
The location also has a tiny stage where live performances occasionally take place. Any forthcoming performances will be announced beforehand on their Facebook page’s events tab.
On one of the five TVs in the contemporary entertainment room, sports fans can watch live sporting events from around the world, including the regional Sunderland vs. Newcastle derby. If you want another drink, you won’t miss any of the action thanks to the displays on either side of the bar!
Don’t forget that every time you play on an electronic game or a live table, you can accrue points on your Grosvenor Play Points reward card. Every time you order anything to eat or drink at the eatery or the bar, you can accrue points. The points quickly add up and can be used in the casino, online, or even on presents just like cash.
Food & Drink
On the left side of the Grosvenor Casino Sunderland, you’ll find the eatery, bar, and lounge. A selection of high-quality, modern dishes are served in a casual setting at The Grosvenor Grill.
Delicious steaks from the trademark grill, like the 7 oz. fillet steak, and grilled buffalo chicken are among the menu’s highlights. Additionally, they provide a variety of salads, a large assortment of stovetop meals and of course, decadent desserts to round out your meal.
The adjacent bar serves a variety of cool drinks, as well as its own bar menu, which features small plates like sandwiches and ciabattas, as well as a few major dishes like fish and chips and lasagna.
Dress Code & Entry
There is a smart casual dress policy. No sportswear, ripped denim, or hats. The casino is open to everyone, but before using any of the amenities, visitors must register for a complimentary membership at the front desk. A legitimate form of identification, such as a driver’s licence or passport, is required to complete the sign-up process, which shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.
Parking & Transport
The William Street entry to the Sunniside multi-story parking lot provides access to parking. If you present your ticket to the front desk, they will gladly verify it.
